Kitchen electrical installation in Monmouth for new and refitted kitchens. We wire cooker circuits, worktop sockets, appliance switches and lighting, working around your kitchen fitter. Quotes are free.

Kitchens need more power points than most rooms. We plan worktop sockets where you'll use them, keep them a sensible distance from the sink and hob, and fit switches above the worktop for built-in appliances so they can be turned off without pulling out units.
Ovens, induction hobs and some appliances need their own circuits sized for the load. We check what you're fitting and wire each one correctly, so the cooker, hob, dishwasher and washing machine can all run at once without tripping anything.
Good kitchen lighting usually mixes bright ceiling lights with under-cabinet strips or plinth lights. We wire the lighting on suitable circuits and switch it the way you'd like, so the room works for cooking and looks good in the evenings.
We go through your kitchen plan with you and your fitter, marking where every socket, switch, appliance and light goes. You get a free quote for the wiring, and we agree when first fix needs to happen so it fits the rest of the build.
First fix cables go in before plastering and before the units are fitted. Once the kitchen is in, we come back for second fix, fitting sockets, switches and lights and connecting the appliances. Then we test every circuit and give you your certificate.
Ring us or send a few details about the job. We aim to respond the same day, with no call-out charge.
We come and look at the work, then give you a free quote with no obligation to go ahead.
We finish the job, test every circuit we've worked on and leave you with the right certificate.
It depends on the size of the kitchen, the number of sockets and lights, and whether new circuits are needed for the cooker and hob. We price it from your kitchen plan and give you a free quote, so you can budget for the electrics alongside the units.
Twice. First fix happens after the old kitchen is stripped out and before plastering, so cables can be run into the walls. Second fix comes once the units and worktops are fitted. We agree both dates with you and your fitter early on.
Often, yes. Many induction hobs need a higher-rated circuit than an older electric cooker, especially if you're running an oven on the same supply. We check the rating of your new hob and oven and the existing circuit before advising.
It depends on the work. New circuits, such as one for a cooker, are notifiable, and we register them with building control through NAPIT. Adding sockets to an existing circuit is usually not. We'll tell you which applies before we start and give you the right certificate.
We wire new kitchens for homeowners and kitchen fitters across these areas.
Send us your kitchen plan or tell us about the refit, and we'll price the electrics for free.
